Esther Sandhya K hails from Chennai. She serves the Lord as a Deacon belonging to CSI Madras diocese. She finished schooling in Chennai. After graduating from Women’s Christian College Chennai in the year 2014, she committed to full time ministry and was selected for the same by the Madras Diocese. She pursued Theological Education at UTC, Bangalore and is now ministering as a Deacon in Iruguvai Pastorate, Andhra Pradesh.

Jenifa Rani earned her Bachelor of Divinity from UTC, Bangalore and worked with the CSI Diocese of Tirunelveli, Pastorally Ministering with Persons with Hearing Impairment. She later interned at NCCI with the National Programme Commission on Unity and Mission, the Indian Ecumenical Disability Accompaniment and the National Ecumenical Forum of Gender and Sexual Diversities.

At present she is working as the Chaplain of Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). She ministers with the patients, students and staff community of PIMS, Pondicherry.

Reflection: God in Dirty Places: “Are you one of us?” 

Ben J Immanuel is an inter-denominational Badaga Christian originally from Coonoor, currently living in Bengaluru. He holds a Bachelor of Divinity from the United Theological College, Bengaluru and is presently working with Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI). Although both his parents are Badagas, a tribal group inhabiting the Nilgiri hills in Tamil Nadu, Ben grew up not learning his own language and culture. Even in seminary, he did not play his Tribal card. He also married outside his tribe, his childhood sweetheart, shaking his tribal system a bit. This reflection is one of his many attempts at delving into his own tribal identity.

She earned her Bachelor of Divinity from Bishop’s College, Kolkata, affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College and her Master of Theology in Biblical Studies (Old Testament) from the United Theological College, Bangalore. Dikteii Chawngthu hails from Mizoram, India. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Research in Pastoral Care and Counselling under SATHRI, Serampore.

Sam Sunny Anand is an ordained minister from the Church of South India, Diocese of Madras. Currently he is pursuing his Masters in Ecumenical Studies at the University of Bonn, Germany. As a pastor, he actively engages in counseling and coaches the youth in ‘crisis management’.

Priscilla Rawade is an ordained minister of the Church of North India. Having completed her B.D. studies from Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur and M.Th. in History of Christianity from United Theological College, Bangalore, she currently works as a lecturer in the Department of History of Christianity at Yavatmal College for Leadership Training, Yavatmal Maharashtra.

Arvind Theodore is an alumnus of the United Theological College, Bangalore. Prior to moving to the U.S. for his S.T.M. studies at Union Theological Seminary, New York, he worked as an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Theology and Ethics in his alma mater for little over a year. Currently, he works as the Communications Coordinator for the Trinity Union Fellowship Program, and will begin his Ph.D. in the field of Social Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in the Fall of 2020.
